We all learn differently and for some a one-on-one approach may be more beneficial – which is why a personal
tutor may be the answer to your child’s learning requirements. The Academy offers a full range of tutoring programmes,
individually tailored to meet the needs of each student and family.
Our tutors are all highly qualified and undergo rigorous testing during their application process to join The
Academy. Learn about our Tutor Screening process here.
The quickest answer to the question is simply: whatever tutoring is needed!
The Academy has a wide range of tutors with varied specialisms, qualifications and experience. We work with families to match
each child to the best tutor (or tutors), depending on age, ability and the subject areas required.
Tutoring is available in all national curriculum subjects, for ages 6 to 18, including specially targeted
support to help students prepare for entrance exams, 11+, SATs, GCSEs and A-levels.
Tutoring can take place either in your home or at one of The Academy’s learning centres. Sessions are usually between one and three hours, again depending on your requirements.
Small group packages are available if you would like to split a session between siblings or friends. In this case the tutor can either divide his/her time between each student, or teach all together if age and ability are similar.
